What color for my dining room?
It is a large dining room.20x18. It is situated off my kitchen, which is a light green with a white main work area. it also leads to a large family room which has a deep mauve on the wall nearest the dining room which is also the same deep mauve with the remainder of the family room being a semi light olive green. I have an antique buffet in the room, a wood table and there is nook with wood framed windows. It is a old farm house. Thanks.
I am partial to green myself. You don't want to have too many colors or you lose continuity, imo. I have a really nice woodland view from my farmhouse, so green has done very nicely in my living room. Anyway, whichever room you can see more from the dining room is the one you want to be consistent with, imo. If you want to stay consistent with the farmhouse, you won't want to go too wild with the colors.

(I decorate with a lot of yellow and peach besides the green, but that won't go with mauve at all)
